My Story

I am taking on the RBLs Netherlands Liberation Trail 2025 to celebrate the nation's official Liberation Day and raising funds to provide the lifelong support that our Armed Forces community needs and deserves today.
As you may know , I was born two months after my father was killed in action in Northern France. His regiment (Royal Horse Guards) would later advance through Holland , via Arnhem , to Germany.
Having recently celebrated my 80th birthday , I felt it appropriate to remember his sacrifice and also raise some vital funds for the RBL.

This cycle ride takes place over three days ( 3 - 5 May ) and covers nearly 200 miles!  I have already paid for travel / accommodation etc. so all money donated will go directly to RBL funds.
Please donate to my page and help me reach my pledge in the lead up to the 80th anniversary of VE day, so that the Royal British Legion can continue to provide vital services and support for the Armed Forces community - serving and ex-serving personnel and their families.

All contributions will be gratefully received. Many thanks for your kind support.
