Pedal to Paris 2026 - 30th Anniversary
Richard Galbraith
My Story
I am very much looking forward to taking part in the 2026 Pedal to Paris challenge in support of the Royal British Legion. Through the event I hope to play a small part in helping the Legion continue its vital work supporting military veterans and their families. These are people who have given so much in service to our society and who deserve our lasting respect, care and support.
Having served in the Honourable Artillery Company, this cause is one which I feel deeply about. I know first hand the importance of comradeship, support and community and I take great pride in being able to contribute towards an organisation that works so tirelessly to improve the wellbeing, dignity and quality of life of those who have served. Sadly, the role of charities such as the Royal British Legion is becoming more important.
I therefore make no apology for appealing to the generosity of my valued friends, and professional colleagues and my valued clients; particularly the surveyors and lawyers with whom I have the privilege of working with on a daily basis. I would encourage you, if you are able, to give generously and help me support an organisation which provides genuine and targetted assistance, comfort, hope and hapiness to those who need it most. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference and will, I am certain, be put to extremely good use.
Apart from my anticipation of your kindness and generosity, all I have to concern myself now is the prospect after all of the miles, hills and inevitable aches along the way, I very much look forwards to finally pedalling down Champs-Elysees towards the Arc de Triomphe, where, I suspect, I may promptly collapse into an exhausted heap before celebrating the achievement with a well earnt beer.
Thank you sincerely for any support you may be kind enough to give towards this truly worthy cause.
